DR. ASHLEY PRICE

Born and raised in the small farm town of Ehrhardt, South Carolina my parents instilled Christian values and the importance of helping others at a very young age. After graduating from Orangeburg Preparatory School and obtaining a degree in Biology from Wofford College, I knew I wanted to both work in healthcare and build a career helping people. My experience witnessing an aunt, after being diagnosed with cancer, struggle to maintain dental health due to the radiation and chemo and the difficulty she experienced finding dentists comfortable treating her left an indelible mark, one that ultimately led to the realization that dentistry was a great way to help others. I attended the Medical University of South Carolina for dental school, and opted to continue my training with a general practice residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC.

There I was trained in IV and oral sedation dentistry, implant dentistry, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, general restorative dentistry and treating the medically compromised patient.

I am always excited to seek out ways to further my dental training by attending numerous continuing education meetings and participating in local study clubs. I am currently the Vice President of the Greater Columbia Dental Association, a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Central District Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and in the Spear Curriculum.

During my free time I stay busy volunteering at local free clinics and around the greater Columbia area through the Columbia Junior League, staying active at Shandon Baptist Church, spending time with my friends and family, traveling with my husband Bryn and singing to my patients.

My hope is to help others through dentistry by providing comfort and compassion while making them healthy.
